Coverage

Plans for every kind of trip.

Every BonaVia policy is a single trip or an annual multi-trip plan. The paths below help you land on the right one.

Single Trip

One trip, protected door to door: the vacation, the mission trip, the semester abroad.

Choose this when you’re insuring one trip with a fixed return date.

What’s inside
Trip cancellation & interruption
If a covered reason keeps you from going, or cuts the trip short, this reimburses the prepaid, non-refundable trip money, up to the trip cost you insured.
Emergency medical & evacuation
Many US health plans stop at the border. This pays for treatment where you are, and for medically necessary evacuation: the benefit that can save a family from a six-figure bill.
Baggage & delays
Lost or delayed bags, stranded connections, missed cruise departures, reimbursed up to the plan limits.
Pre-existing condition waiver
On select plans, buying within the required window after your first trip deposit waives the pre-existing condition exclusion: the best reason to buy early.

Annual Multi-Trip

Every trip you take for a year, under one plan.

Choose this when you’re always on the road: business travel, frequent volunteering.

What’s inside
One plan, every trip
Covers each trip you take during the plan year, up to the plan’s per-trip length limit: no buying protection five separate times.
Medical-first structure
Annual plans lead with emergency medical and evacuation, on every covered trip, all year.
Cancellation works differently
Per-trip cancellation carries per-trip limits rather than a percentage of one insured trip cost. If one expensive trip is the worry, single trip may fit better.
Baggage & delays, year-round
Lost bags and stranded connections are covered on each trip under the same plan limits.
